Forming a Company

If you have confidence in your idea and you do not already have registered company status, it may be advisable to set up a registered company to deal with the project. If there are a number of people involved, existence of a company with a registered address can make it easier for organisations supporting your idea to communicate, and can be more attractive in a business sense than an individual or group scenario.

It is possible to form a company and register it yourself by applying to Companies House. The Companies House booklet GBF1 Company Formation gives advice on how to do this. Alternatively, advice can be sought from a number of other sources, including accountants and solicitors.
